Account Executive
Known as “Sky” by most, Schuyler “Sky” Nelson joined the Strauss Media Strategies team as an associate account executive in June of 2020.
Prior to transitioning to public relations, Sky worked on political campaigns for several years, including the 2016 Hillary for America general election campaign. Prior to that, Sky worked for Hillary for America on both the New Hampshire and North Carolina primaries and later worked for the Nevada State Democratic Party during the same 2016 general election. Following his work on the presidential campaign, Sky managed a mayoral campaign for a candidate in a city just outside of Boston. He is also proud to have been selected to be followed by Hillary Clinton on Twitter.
Originally from Massachusetts, Sky moved to Washington, DC in Fall 2018 to start his graduate degree at The George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs. He has since received his Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Media and Strategic Communication from GWU. Sky also has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Public Policy from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with honors.
Sky is a diehard Boston sports fan and takes every opportunity to see his teams play whenever they have a game in Washington, DC. During his free time, he enjoys traveling, reading science fiction novels, and watching movies with friends.
