Strauss Media Strategies Adds Former CNN Producer Rachael Shackelford to its Growing Team Print E-mail


Washington, DC – December 5, 2014 – Strauss Media Strategies, Inc. (SMS), the nation’s leading provider of strategic radio and television media relations services, today announced the addition of former CNN news producer, Rachael Shackelford, as Account Executive.

Rachael joined the Strauss Media Strategies team as a highly respected and award-winning television and broadcast journalist and producer. Prior to her job at Strauss, Rachael worked for nine years at CNN where she was most recently an associate producer for The Situation Room, with anchor Wolf Blitzer. She produced and booked guest segments and handled guest logistics, both domestically and internationally. Rachael also worked in the prestigious “front row” of the control room during breaking news and political specials and covered the Obama administration as a producer for the network’s White House unit. As the main control room manager of video elements for all of CNN’s political specials, Rachael was heavily involved in the 2012 political season and won an Emmy as a producer for CNN’s 2012 presidential Election Night in America broadcasts.


Rachael received her undergraduate degree in journalism from Florida A&M University and her graduate degree in International Affairs from Georgia Institute of Technology.
