Kristen Beatty

Account Executive

Kristen joined the Strauss Media Strategies team as an account executive in January of 2024.

Before making the switch to public relations, Kristen spent a decade in the broadcast news industry as a television news producer. For six years she worked at WPVI-TV, the prominent ABC affiliate in Philadelphia, Pa. She also spent three years as a producer for well-known WJZ-TV, the CBS affiliate in Baltimore, Md. She covered everything from riots and presidential elections to blizzards and the Philadelphia Eagles 2018 Super Bowl championship.

Kristen graduated from the esteemed Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. She is an alumna of Alpha Gamma Delta’s Alpha Chapter.

Outside of work, Kristen enjoys spending time with her dog, hiking, and trivia nights. The former competitive and Olympic-quality figure skater traded in her ice skates for sneakers, and you can find her in the gym lifting weights 5-6 times a week. She enjoys keeping up with pop culture and Philadelphia sports.

Carrie Engel

Communications Coordinator, National Geographic Society
"I just got back from a meeting with our vice president of sales for National Geographic Society books and he let us know that a Barnes & Noble in Salt Lake City recently purchased 201 copies of Life in Color to sell in their stores. He specifically cited the radio tour for what caused this increase in sales so I wanted to let you know what a great job your team at Strauss Media Strategies did and how much we appreciate the help from your team. A purchase like that in a time when books are dying (especially during the holiday season when they are overrun with gift books) is amazing!"
